Our story

About us

The Cselling Udvarház has been a part of our lives since 2017.

I remember when Moreno called me on the phone to tell me he had quit his job in Budapest and was coming to join me at Lake Balaton. These were his exact words, but in Italian: “I didn’t come to Hungary to end up in a long-distance relationship again.” That’s how our story in Révfülöp began…

For eight years now, we’ve been welcoming you, and it brings us great joy to see so many families and groups of friends return to us year after year.

Since then, so much has happened—we got married, had two children, went through the long years of Covid, opened our Semola Pastfood pasta place here in Révfülöp, and started teaching courses at the Hello Chef cooking school in Veszprém.

Who are we?

KLÁRI: The hostess of Cselling Udvarház. You’ll meet me when you arrive and when you leave, and breakfast is also my responsibility.

MORENO: Our chef responsible for culinary delights at Semola Pastfood and here at Cselling as well. When everything is running smoothly, you’ll find him wandering around the garden during breakfast, picking herbs or vegetables for the day, either for Semola or for the Cselling.

About Cselling

Our parents spent years searching for the perfect place that could serve both as a holiday home and later as a guesthouse. This is how they discovered the old winemaker's house in Révfülöp, followed shortly by the over 100-year-old parsonage next door. The name "Cselling" comes from the fern species native to the Szent György Hill.

During the renovation preserving the historical values was our top priority. With the help of our architect, Zoltán Tamás Papp, a Ybl Prize-winning designer, we restored the parsonage to its original form. Salvaged materials, such as beams and crest-marked bricks, were re-used, and under the outer plaster, the region’s characteristic red stones were revealed.

The interiors also evoke the past: the dining area and kitchen once served as farm buildings, while the ceiling of the Pensiero suite revealed stunning beams that now serve as a unique feature of the house. The faience and porcelain collection, along with many of the furnishings in the Udvarház, are part of our family heritage, enhancing our guests' comfort and offering a truly unique experience.

Visit us and immerse yourself in the charm of the past and the proximity of Lake Balaton!
